The consortium "Conscious Mind: Integrating subjective phenomenology with objective measurements" was granted 1.284 million euros by the Academy of Finland's MIND-program for the years 2013-2016. The consortium consists of two groups, the Consciousness Research Group, led by prof. Antti Revonsuo, and the Anesthesia Mechanisms Research Group, led by Adjunct Professor Harry Scheinin. The project focuses on different states of the conscious human mind: anesthetic unconsciousness, sleep, dreaming, hypnosis, and meditation. The aim is to study them from an integrative objective (e.g. using high resolution PET imaging) and subjective perspective. |
