Research Interest:

My scientific interests are directed towards the development of PET radioligands for imaging dopamine, serotonin and norepinephrine transporters (DAT, SERT, NET) and preclinical in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo brain research using PET radioligands.
DAT, SERT, NET play important roles in cognitive processes and motor activity. They participate in the inactivation and recycling of monoamines and are also targets for effective therapeutic drugs and stimulant drugs of abuse. Changes in their function are involved in several neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative diseases, such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease, schizophrenia, and depression.
